Principles and reasons

In Thailand, there is a significant number of individuals with limb disabilities who require prosthetics to enhance their quality of life and enable them to pursue careers or to support their families with pride and without being a burden to society but the cost of producing prosthetics is high. The Prostheses Foundation of HRH the Princess Mother can provide prosthetics at an affordable cost by utilizing alternative materials to eliminate the need for imports and reducing expenses. The foundation is inclusive welcoming individuals regardless of their nationality, religion (no card required).

Objectives:

  1. To stimulate a sense of sharing and sacrifice for others
  2. To foster employee engagement within the organization as well as with partners and customers.

Participants in the project include employees and their families from CPTG & CROP (Maize). The company has joined and supported the Prostheses Foundation initiative to collect pull-tabs and expand the distribution of prosthetics by offering the Prosthetics Service in Phitsanulok since 2008. We contributed rice during the prosthetic distribution events including the fried eggs with rice event booth at the opening ceremony and during the prosthetic presentation. These activities aim to serve patients, their relatives, and prosthetic equipment technicians. Throughout the years, we have collaborated in distributing prosthetic to various locations, including Chiang Dao, Nan, Uttaradit, Nong Khai, Chaiyaphum, Si Sa Ket, Udon Thani, Ubon Ratchathani, Nakhon Ratchasima, Nakhon Pathom, Kanchanaburi, Kamphaeng Phet, Sa Kaeo, Chonburi, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Krabi, Songkhla, Guangdong in China, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia. We participated in badminton charity tournament with True Corporation to donate proceeds to the foundation. We support for the foundation’s charitable activities includes the following:

  1. Donate 5kg. of Chat Light rice, totaling 90 bags for cooking purposes during the entire prosthetic distribution events (provided in sacks)
  2. Donate 1kg. of Chat Light rice, totaling 300 bags for disabilities and volunteer prosthetic equipment technicians who participating in the event
  3. Serving fried eggs with Chat rice in opening ceremony and during the prosthetic distribution event
  4. Escort individuals with disabilities in the area to get free prosthetic services
  5. Invite business partners and customers to donate money to the foundation or participate in food booth to support the event
  6. CSR SPIRIT Volunteer Registration participate in patient screening, translate in local languages, and translate in ASEAN languages
