History of Charoen Plantation Co., Ltd
Charoen Plantation Co., Ltd is one of the subsidiaries of the Charoen Pokphand Group, established in Cambodia since 1996. The company initially focused on agricultural activities specifically the distribution of corn seeds under the brand “CP Corn Seeds.” This venture gained significant satisfaction from farmers. In 2557 B.E., the management expanded the business by introducing a line of fertilizers, including organic, organic-chemical, and chemical fertilizers, known as “CP Mudin Fertilizer.” Both businesses have experienced growth and continue to operate successfully to the present day.

Charoen Plantation Co., Ltd initiated trials and promotion of the corn seed group, particularly the CP 888 variety, starting in 1998 in Cambodia. The commercial distribution to farmers began in 1999. The CP 888 variety has been pivotal as it yields 2 ears per plant, resulting in high productivity and good income for farmers compared to other varieties. Moreover, it demonstrates resilience to drought conditions and adapts well to various environments.
As of 2023, Charoen Plantation Co., Ltd offers a total of 7 corn seed, there are:
- Short-duration varieties (90-100 days): CP 201, CP 389
- Medium-duration varieties (105-115 days): CP 640, CP 503, CP F-16
- Long-duration varieties (120 days): CP 888, CP 639
In terms of plant nutrient groups, the company introduced and experimented with them in rice fields for the first time in 2014. The nationwide distribution began in 2015 under the brand “CP Mordin Fertilizer.” The product has gained high satisfaction among farmers due to its quality and affordable pricing. It also imparts agricultural knowledge specific to each crop type, aiming to maximize yields and profits for farmers.
As of 2023, Charoen Plantation Co., Ltd has a total of 13 fertilizer formulations available for distribution as follow
The two types of plant nutrients are:
- Chemical Fertilizers : 46-0-0, 18-46-0, 16-20-0, 20-10-5, 27-12-6, 20-8-20, 12-6-33, 27-7-7, 22-4-22, 12-4-40, 15-15-15 and 10-5-5
- Organic Fertilizers: Organic Pellets (1-5-5)

- Tillering Fertilizer: 20-10-5, 27-12-6, 29-7-7
- Yield-Boosting Fertilizer: 20-8-20, 22-4-22

- Growth-Boosting Fertilizer: 20-10-5, 27-12-6, 29-7-7

Scholarship Program
The management team of CHAROEN PLANTATION CO., LTD. in Cambodia provides scholarships to Cambodian students pursuing higher education at universities in Thailand. This annual scholarship program aims to support students in gaining knowledge, accumulating experiences, and applying their learning to contribute to the development of their country. Help Flood Victims in 2020
In 2020, the management team and staff of Charoen Plantation Co., Ltd. in Cambodia provided food and medicine to help the flooding victims in certain areas of Banteay Meanchey and Batdombong where around 50 households received our support.
